Oscar Haro is one of the most recognizable names in the MotoGP paddock and one of the former sporting directors of LCR Honda. Haro recently spoke on the ‘Fast and Curious’ podcast about Marc Márquez’s work so far at Ducati and the recent announcement of his transfer to the official team for next season.

He began by talking about Marc’s adaptation to the Ducati: ‘That’s the good thing about Marc, being able to get used to a bike like this. Now we see very good Honda riders who can’t do better than 18th, 19th or 21st. This makes you realize how much potential Marc has; that he never gives up, that he never says “enough is enough”, that he falls as many times as it takes. That’s a World Champion; that’s Marc Márquez

He went on to say that the Spanish driver is not as highly regarded in Spain as the world’s most renowned athletes.

– On a sporting level, for me he is above Michael Jordan or the best sportsmen in the world. It’s as if Schumacher were to get up now, race again and win again. Well, that’s what Marc Márquez did. He cut off his arm, twisted it, welded it, to become World Champion.’
